Ground Hog Day is February 2. The legend maintains that if a Ground Hog surfaces from its hole on the morning of Feb 2 and sees its shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter. If he does not see his shadow there will be an early spring in six week! Outdoor Fun at MacGregor Point

The MacGregor Point 400 metre outdoor skating loop is open! The ice rink is situated within MacGregor Point Provincial Park located along the shores of Lake Huron in Port Elgin, Ontario. The park is open from 9am until 10pm daily. Other enjoyable outdoor winter activities offered at MacGregor Point are cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter camping!
