Community Job Fair


The City of Owen Sound, Grey County, and the YMCA Employment Services are holding a Job Fair in Owen Sound on Thursday, March 3 2016. The event is taking place from 2:00 until 6:00 pm at Heritage Place Shopping Centre. Numerous employers from across Grey County will be there presenting permanent, seasonal, and student positions in various types of employment. Regional Career and Training Fair

On Wednesday October 28, 2015 the Town of Hanover, Four County Labour Market Planning Board, École John Diefenbaker Senior School and the Bluewater School Board are hosting a Regional Career and Training Fair for youth from across Grey and Bruce counties. The event is being held at École John Diefenbaker Senior School in Hanover. There will be several community agencies and employers attending this event promoting available employment in the area. People looking for work are encouraged to bring several copies of their résumé to the fair. This event will be open for students from 11:00am until 7:00 pm and to the public from 3:30pm until 7:00pm. Community Job Fairs

VPI is holding a Community Job Fair in Walkerton on Wednesday March 25, 2015. A job fair is an event that people attend if they are looking for work. People looking for a job go to these events to get information about companies that are hiring and to meet potential employers in person with the hopes of making a good impression. The Walkerton job fair is being held at the Walkerton District Community School from 5pm until 7pm. There is another job fair happening in Wiarton at the Wiarton Arena on March 11 from 5pm until 8pm. VPI Complete Employment Solutions is the Bruce County Service provider for Employment Ontario programs. They are funded in part by the government of Canada.
