Canada Learning Bond

Start your child’s education with FREE MONEY

The Canada Learning Bond is a government payment that’s deposited right into Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for children. Parents do not have to make payments toward the Educational Savings Plan for children to qualify for the Bond.  If your child was born on January 1, 2004 or after, and you are eligible for the National Child Benefit Supplement, your child could receive up to $2,000 from the government. SmartSAVER has joined with RESP providers across Canada to assist parents to set up RESP’s for their children. To qualify for this program children must have a birth certificate and social insurance number and reside in Canada. To find out more about this program check out SmartSAVER.
